She didn’t cut her hair for 25 years—wait till you see her now.
Everyone has moments when they wish to tweak one or more elements of their look.
A tiny change is always welcome, regardless of the boring haircut we’ve had for years or the clothes we grew weary of.
After twenty-five years without a haircut, American Rosa Ramirez decided it was time.
Her hair grew to the point where she would sometimes walk on it.
Her husband had attempted to persuade her to alter her hairdo over the years, but she had always been very pleased with her 1.5 meter long hair.
She eventually had enough after working hard for 25 years, and she went to the hairdresser with a few of her friends to get her hair cut shoulder-length.
“We love to see different things done on customers—different styles— and we meet very often and I always see her the same way,” Ramirez’s hair salon owner, Eda Motchka, said.
Still, there was a reason behind her actions. Rosa gave four feet of her hair to the Locks of Love foundation, which creates wigs for kids whose hair has been lost to cancer.
“I think it could make someone who is suffering from a serious illness’s day better,” said Ramirez.
