Fans divided after Angelina Jolie, 49, debuts fresh look at at awards show with draped gown and new hair color

Even though she and her ex-husband Brad Pitt are embroiled in a heated argument, Angelina Jolie looked stunning as she did when she attended the 2024 Tony Awards.

This past Sunday, June 16, the actress and her 15-year-old daughter Vivienne appeared for the 77th Tony Awards at the Lincoln Center in New York. Both of them were dressed in green for the event.

It should come as no surprise that Jolie’s striking floor-length dress and her purportedly new hair color have generated conflicting reactions on the internet. I suppose that people are constantly talking these days.

Even though there is now a lot of drama in the Jolie household due in large part to her and her ex-husband Brad Pitt’s continued tense relationship, Angelina and daughter Vivienne looked happy as they left for the Tony Awards over the weekend.

The mother-daughter pair dressed in green, with Vivienne choosing a green suit and her well-known mother stealing the show in a long, sea-foam-colored velvet gown.

Needless to say, the dress accentuated every bit of Angelina’s inherent beauty with its draped, off-the-shoulder neckline and elaborate ruching over the bodice.

The Tomb Raider actress accessorized her appearance with gold hoops earrings and little makeup. Vivienne and Angelina’s red carpet appearance was described by Vogue Magazine as “a united mother-daughter fashion moment that completely stole the show” when they posted pictures and videos of themselves on Instagram.

Renowned fashion designer Donatella Versace also shared a photo of the couple from the occasion, providing a little history of Jolie’s dress’s creation.

“You look stunning. Versace remarked, “I adore that you honor the craftsmanship of Atelier Versace.” “This garment was designed in 2013, and I recall that you contributed a great deal of originality to its design. It’s crucial for artists to encourage other artists!

As is so frequently the case in the modern era, fans had differing opinions about Angelina’s ensemble after her appearance was swiftly analyzed online.

One admirer commented, “That is one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen.”

Another person said, “Angelina looks so stunning with honey blonde hair.”

A third said, “The dress fits her perfectly, and she looks fantastic.” I completely agree that having darker hair would have completed the ensemble!

Sadly, some people thought less of Jolie’s appearance than others did.

“Angelina appears to be a velvet drape curtain,” a critic commented on Instagram.

Another person commented, “That dress reminds me of old fashion curtains/drapes..ugh looks heavy.”

On Facebook, a third said, “Stylish? They both appear schlumpy.

Jolie, however, had a successful day as she was able to win her first Tony Award for her work as a producer on the musical The Outsiders.

Four honors were given to the production: Best Direction of a Musical, Outstanding Lighting Design, Outstanding Lighting Design of a Musical, and Outstanding Sound Design of a Musical. Meanwhile, 15-year-old Vivienne gained notoriety for her work as the musical’s producer’s assistant.
