Back in 1983, Kevin Robert Clark made headlines across the U.S. when he arrived weighing an astonishing 16 pounds (over 7 kg)—a size so unusual it sparked national intrigue. His mother, Patricia, already anticipated a large baby due to family tendencies, but even she was stunned by his enormous size.
As he grew, Kevin’s stature remained extraordinary. At just 12 years old, he was over 5′7″ (1.7 m), and by junior high, he towered at 6′5″—eventually reaching around 6′9″ (2 m) and weighing approximately 136–136 kg. This rapid growth posed everyday challenges: he couldn’t fit into standard beds or clothing, and strangers constantly asked if he played basketball. Kevin’s witty response was always, “Do you play miniature golf?”
Despite widespread assumptions, Kevin never pursued competitive sports. Instead, following university, he joined the U.S. Air Force, enrolled in a military college, and later became a police officer—roles well-suited to his commanding physical presence.
Nowadays, he leads a contented life: happily married, the proud owner of a Great Dane, and living quietly away from the spotlight that once buzzed around his birth.
Today, at nearly 40, Kevin continues to face the daily realities of his size—finding clothes, squeezing through doorways, and always turning heads. But he embraces it with humor and grace, appreciating the unique path his life has taken.
