One of my favorite shows is Little Big Shots, and one unforgettable talent was Mia Negovetić from Croatia. At just 13 years old, this young singer delivered an astonishing rendition of Beyoncé’s “Listen” that gave me goosebumps. Hailing from Rijeka, she journeyed to the U.S. to perform the powerful ballad live on Steve Harvey’s show.
“Listen,” originally from the 2006 film Dreamgirls, was written by Henry Krieger and Tom Eyen. Sung by Beyoncé’s character Deena Jones, the song is a declaration of unwavering resolve to be heard. It’s emotionally charged and vocally demanding, yet Mia tackled it flawlessly—as if she’d already been performing it for years.

As a petite and gifted youngster, Mia amazed the studio audience and millions watching at home. Her voice was so commanding that the crowd rose to their feet, and Steve Harvey was visibly moved, declaring, “You’re in Hollywood! You’ve made it!”
Short recap of Mia’s talent showcase:

Discovered after winning the Croatian children’s singing competition Zvjezdice and performing the national anthem at a major national celebration, which led to viral fame.

Mia’s journey on Little Big Shots wasn’t just about singing—it was about showcasing maturity, musicality, and heart well beyond her years. She left both audience and judges in awe, proving that true talent knows no borders.
