At the beginning of 2023, something extremely strange began happening inside Block Z, the section of a women’s prison reserved for particularly dangerous inmates.
It started when one prisoner suddenly collapsed during the morning inspection. A few days later, another woman fainted under similar circumstances. Then three more inmates experienced the same thing.
What made the situation even more disturbing was that all of these women were being held in solitary confinement. They had no contact with each other, never participated in group activities, and had been kept in complete isolation for almost a year.
When the medical staff examined them, the entire prison was left stunned by the diagnosis.
All of the women were pregnant.
Each was at a different stage of pregnancy.
At first, nobody could make sense of it. The prisoners were kept behind locked doors, the guards were exclusively women, and contact with male inmates or visitors was strictly prohibited. Security cameras were operating around the clock, and access to the cells was carefully controlled.
The prison administration immediately launched an internal investigation.
Officials went through months of records, including movement logs, security reports, medical documents, and surveillance footage. They searched for any possible violation that could explain what had happened.
There were no suspicious movements. No unexplained visitors. No missing records.
The inmates themselves seemed confused by the investigation. When questioned, several of them repeated essentially the same thing:
“We knew we were pregnant. And we want our babies.”
But that only raised an even bigger question.
How had they become pregnant while being kept in isolation? And who was responsible?
For a while, investigators had absolutely no answers.
The case seemed to have reached a dead end—until one investigator decided to request additional medical documents from the prison hospital.
That decision would uncover a horrifying secret.
The investigator specifically requested records detailing every medical procedure performed on the inmates during the previous several months.
At first, the documents appeared completely ordinary.
They contained routine complaints such as headaches, elevated blood pressure, abdominal discomfort, and other symptoms that could easily occur in prison.
Several of the women had visited the infirmary multiple times during the year. According to the official paperwork, however, they had always been examined and returned to their cells on the same day.
Nothing seemed unusual.
But when investigators compared the dates and examined the documents more carefully, they noticed a disturbing pattern.
Every woman who was now pregnant had visited the prison infirmary on the exact days when the same doctor was on duty.
The doctor was an experienced gynecologist who had recently been transferred to the facility under what officials described as a “special assignment.”
Even more suspiciously, each inmate had reportedly complained of different symptoms before being taken for examination.
Some complaints were vague and could easily have been fabricated or induced.
The investigator then discovered another document that had previously been overlooked.
It was a classified medical logbook.
According to the records, on those particular days, the women had been taken to a separate procedure room and placed under anesthesia for what was officially described as an examination.
The room itself was restricted, and access to the records was extremely limited.
Only three people were authorized to access the classified logbook.
That was when investigators discovered a phrase that immediately raised serious concerns:
“Assigned reproductive manipulations.”
The wording was so alarming that investigators began looking into the financial records of the people connected to the prison medical department.
They examined the bank accounts of the doctor and the head of the infirmary.
What they allegedly discovered appeared to reveal the existence of a much larger and deeply disturbing operation.
According to the investigation, the women in Block Z were being secretly used as surrogate mothers.
The alleged scheme involved wealthy individuals who were willing to pay enormous amounts of money to have their embryos carried by women who, because of their imprisonment, would supposedly have little ability to claim parental rights.
The operation was described as highly organized.
Medical records were allegedly falsified. False diagnoses were reportedly created to justify bringing inmates to the infirmary. The women were placed under anesthesia, procedures were carried out without their informed consent, and the official documentation was altered to conceal what had actually happened.
The prisoners themselves were allegedly never told the truth.
For months, they continued living in their cells without knowing what had been done to them.
When the first symptoms of pregnancy eventually appeared, many of the women initially assumed that something else was happening to their bodies.
They had no reason to imagine that their pregnancies could have been the result of a secret medical operation carried out inside the very prison where they were supposed to be under constant protection and supervision.
The discovery left investigators horrified.
What had initially appeared to be an impossible medical mystery had allegedly turned into something far more disturbing—a hidden system in which vulnerable prisoners were secretly exploited for the benefit of wealthy outsiders.
And the most frightening part was that the women had been living behind locked doors the entire time, believing that the walls of the prison were protecting them.
Instead, according to the investigation, the secret had been happening inside the prison itself.
