Aaron Crow’s Terrifying Blindfolded Sword Stunt Nearly Takes Out Howie Mandel

Some America’s Got Talent auditions leave the judges cheering, but only a rare few leave them entirely frozen in absolute terror. In this pulse-pounding throwback from the AGT archives, danger artist Aaron Crow brought a level of suspense to the stage that the judges were entirely unprepared for.

Walking out in complete silence, Crow refused to speak or answer a single question, instantly setting an eerie, horror-movie-like atmosphere. The tension spiked when he walked down to the judges’ panel, singled out a visibly terrified Howie Mandel, and led him to the center of the stage. Crow placed a fresh apple directly on top of Howie’s head—and that was just the beginning.

To prove there was no trickery, Crow had hot candle wax poured directly over his closed eyelids before wrapping his entire face in thick layers of black tape. Completely blinded, he began navigating the stage by sound and intuition alone. After slicing through trial targets with nunchucks, Crow raised a massive, razor-sharp warrior sword.

With the audience holding its collective breath and the other judges pleading for Howie not to move, Crow stood inches from the comedian. In a fraction of a second, he swung the heavy blade with lethal velocity, slicing the apple clean in half without scratching Howie’s skin.

Howie confessed afterward that he was frozen stiff with fear, while Simon Cowell pointed out that the blade was literally two inches away from a catastrophic disaster. Despite the pure panic, the jaw-dropping display of absolute precision earned Aaron Crow a standing ovation and four enthusiastic “yes” votes.
