Susan Lucci’s bond with Michael B. Jordan extends beyond the TV screen.

In fact, after the Sinners star took home the award for Best Actor at the 2026 Oscars, Susan—who portrayed Michael’s stepmom on All My Children in the early aughts—gave him his flowers.

“Congratulations @michaelbjordan on your Oscar!” Susan wrote on Instagram March 16 alongside a throwback photo of her and Michael. “I watched last night and was so excited to see you win!! AND what a beautiful, gracious, and authentic acceptance speech you gave.”

“So proud to have worked with Michael on AMC!!!” she added. “What a spectacular actor he is!!!”

In his powerful acceptance speech, Michael, 39, thanked those who stood by him throughout his journey to the top honor.

“Thank you, everybody in this room and everybody at home, for supporting me over my career. I feel it,” he said during the ceremony hosted by Conan O’Brien. “I know you guys want me to do well, and I want to do that because you guys bet on me, so thank you for keep betting on me. I’m gonna keep stepping up, and I’m gonna keep being the best version of myself I can be.”read

He also gave a shoutout to his parents Donna Jordan and Michael A. Jordan, who traveled overseas to witness his son’s career achievement.

“Y’all know how I feel about my mother, and my father’s here,” he continued. “My dad came in from Ghana to be here.”

Previously, Michael shared how his appearance in All My Children from 2003 to 2006 as Reggie Montgomery shaped his career.

“That time I spent on that show did so much for me education-wise,” he told Sirius XM in a Feb. 17 interview, sharing that he had the honor of “learning about the craft” alongside stars like Susan, Darnell Williams, and Walt Willey.

“We did 100-plus pages a day,” he added. “We did an episode and a half a day, you know what I’m saying? It was a machine. And [for] a kid that never really went to acting classes and never went to acting school or anything like that, that was my education. I learned from them.”
